Bad feeling at Tannadice
Dundee United assistant manager Simon Donnelly felt decisions went against his side in the Tayside derby defeat to St Johnstone.
Leading marksman Stevie May scored the winner early in the second-half, with his 22nd goal of the campaign coming following a bad mistake by goalkeeper Radoslaw Cierzniak.
Both managers were sent to the stands during a heated encounter and Saints' Tommy Wright later accused United counterpart Jackie McNamara of disrespecting his team: "Some things were said that shouldn't have been said by Jackie about my team," he told BBC Scotland. "I'll respond to that because it's totally out of order. A cheap shot."
"We felt a few decisions went against us tonight," Tangerines assistant Donnelly countered. "On the back of the good run we've been on, coming into the game looking forward to it, we're obviously disappointed with the outcome.
"If you look at any touchline week in week out, things are said, so he's obviously taken exception to whatever's been said at the time," he added. "I know Jackie as a person and a manager and he's very respectful to all the opposition and he's on the touchline defending his team as well."
