Striker aims for winning run

Dundee United striker Nadir Ciftci reckons his side are more than capable of going on another winning run.

The Turkish marksman scored a dramatic late winner as the Tannadice outfit came from behind to defeat St Mirren 3-2 at the weekend. In the process they avoided a second straight home loss following their recent defeat to St Johnstone.

"This was a great result. We had been playing very well and getting some good results before the St Johnstone game," Ciftci told the Dundee Courier. "That was a disappointment but in football you just have to move on.

"That's what we've managed to do and hopefully we can go from strength to strength again," he continued. "We're looking forward to them all and want to get as good results as we can. We know we're capable of it and we know we have to be ready for that challenge."
