Parties agree to silence

Dundee United and the Scottish FA have agreed to keep the matter private following their recent disagreement over the Scottish Cup semi-final venue.

The Tangerines must take on Rangers in their own Ibrox Stadium next month as they attempt to claim themselves a place in the final of the competition.

They had asked for a change of venue but that was refused before then being angered by an SFA statement regarding their ticket allocation for the game.

A short statement subsequently released by the Tannadice club read: "Regarding the William Hill Scottish Cup semi final ticketing and venue issue, the club today held constructive discussions with senior officials from the Scottish FA and both parties have agreed to conduct future consideration on this matter in private."
