Tangerines host top-six rivals
Fourth-placed Dundee United are hosting fifth-placed Inverness Caledonian Thistle at Tannadice on Wednesday evening.
The Tangerines are hopeful full-back Keith Watson recovers from a thigh problem while Gary Mackay-Steven has been suffering with a virus. On loan centre-back Curtis Good remains on the sidelines with a hip injury.
"I'm still hopeful of second place, but obviously, as more games go past, it's difficult," manager Jackie McNamara told BBC Scotland. "I think Aberdeen and Motherwell have been consistent in their performances and results of late.
"So all we can do is keep doing our best and keep winning and try to put pressure on them and close the gap on them," he added. "We're at home and our home form has been very good. We want to keep that winning run going - seven wins out of the last eight games - which is important for us."
The visitors are without suspended defender Carl Tremarco and winger Aaron Doran (hamstring) is rated doubtful.
