Pressure on Rangers - McNamara

Dundee United boss Jackie McNamara believes Rangers' weekend Ramsdens Cup final extra-time defeat to Raith Rovers has suddenly increased the pressure on them.

The Tangerines travel to Ibrox on Saturday for their much-anticipated Scottish Cup semi-final and McNamara reckons the surprise lost can only help the visitors.

"Sunday's result puts more pressure on Rangers, no doubt about that," McNamara told the Dundee Courier. "They will be hurting and with it being their home ground that adds to the pressure. It will be up to us to get about them early and cause them problems.

"They will want to get the crowd behind them and help them but at the same time we want to cause them problems and get at them," he added. "There is expectation on us as well, we know that. But if you look at the Rangers team they are more experienced than us, they have more games like this in their careers."
