Three-match ban for McNamara

Three-match ban for McNamara

Dundee United boss Jackie McNamara has been given a three-match ban for his touchline disagreement with St Johnstone counterpart Tommy Wright last month.

That follows the pair clashing during their recent Premiership meeting at Tannadice, when Stevie May's goal settled the contest in the visitors' favour.

The Scottish FA disciplinary tribunal handed McNamara a five-game ban, two of which are suspended until the end of next season, while Wright received a one-match ban, suspended until the end of 2014.

The duo were both found guilty of breaching disciplinary Rule 203 and can appeal against the ruling.
