Tangerines trio shortlisted

Dundee United have three players shortlisted for the PFA Scotland Premiership young player of the year award.

Midfielders Stuart Armstrong and Ryan Gauld, plus left-back Andrew Robertson, are nominated alongside St Johnstone striker Stevie May.

Meanwhile, Celtic's Fraser Forster, Virgil van Dijk and Kris Commons contest the senior version with Kilmarnock's Kris Boyd.

The Tangerines also have three players selected in the Scottish Premiership team of the year chosen by PFA Scotland members at senior clubs, with Robertson, Armstrong and striker Nadir Cifti each making the final eleven.

Celtic's Forster, van Dijk and Commons; Aberdeen's Mark Reynolds and Peter Pawlett; Inverness Caledonian Thistle's Graeme Shinnie, plus St Johnstone's May and Kilmarnock's Boyd, make up the remainder of the side.
