Tangerines chase rivals

Dundee United take on third-placed Motherwell at Tannadice this weekend.

Defenders Curtis Good and Calum Butcher are still ruled out through injury while winger Gary Mackay-Steven is struggling with a calf problem.

"It's our aim to pick up as many points as possible in the games which we have left," manager Jackie McNamara told BBC Scotland. "They're all going to be tough, starting with Motherwell, but that's the challenge to the players.

"It's about trying to get some momentum and seeing where it takes us in the next few weeks," he added. "It will be difficult to catch them but you have to hope in football, and we know what we're capable of producing on our day."

Motherwell have striker James McFadden back training following a hamstring injury and skipper Keith Lasley returns from suspension.

Otherwise, Stuart Carswell, Paul Lawson and Simon Ramsden remain out for the visitors.
