Momentous weekend for United

It's a truly momentous weekend for Dundee United as they tackle neighbours St Johnstone in the Scottish Cup final at Celtic Park on Saturday afternoon (kick-off 3.00pm).

The Tangerines were set to be roared on by their largest-ever following with around 28,000 tickets sold.

Teenage defender John Souttar and flying winger Gary Mackay-Steven should both be available for selection following recent illnesses.

"Everyone's been fairly relaxed," manager Jackie McNamara told BBC Scotland. "It'd be good for them to finish this season and be part of the history.

"It's about everybody, not just the starting 11. Everybody plays their part, even the ones that are not involved," he added. "For me the most important thing is that the lads go and enjoy it, enjoy the occasion, the experience."

Saints are without defender Tim Clancy after an Achilles injury in training left him needing probable surgery.
