New club for former boss

Former Dundee United boss Peter Houston has been named as the new manager of Falkirk.

An ex-Bairns player and Scotland assistant coach, Houston, 55, had been scouting for Celtic since leaving Tannadice last year.

He replaces Gary Holt at the Falkirk Stadium following him moving to join Neil Adams' coaching team at Norwich City.

Falkirk were defeated by Hamilton Academical in their play-off semi-final at the end of last season.
