Tangerines sign defender
Dundee United have snapped up Dunfermline Athletic defender Callum Morris on a two-year deal.
The 24-year-old centre-back was out-of-contract at East End Park after appearing 37 times and scoring twice for them last season. He originally began his career with Newcastle United before spending time at the Glenn Hoddle Academy in Spain.
"Once Callum became available I acted quickly to bring him here," manager Jackie McNamara told BBC Scotland. "He is strong, aggressive and the right age for us.
"Despite interest from other Scottish Premiership clubs, Callum wanted to come to Dundee United and he will be an excellent addition to our team," he added. "I am delighted to have signed him."
Morris therefore joins midfielders Blair Spittal and Charlie Telfer in arriving at Tannadice since the end of last season.
