Striker on the mark

Striker on the mark

Dundee United striker Nadir Ciftic is looking forward to another productive season at Tannadice.

The Turkish forward was on the mark from the penalty spot as the Tangerines comfortably took care of Bohemians with a 4-0 weekend victory in Dublin.

"Everything has been good for me so far in pre-season and I have been catching up again on the flicks and passes," Ciftci told the Dundee Courier. "It was nice to get a goal, but the main thing is getting my fitness right.

"My aim for next season is for United to get better and better, and I think our new players are looking good already," he added.

Former Portsmouth man Ciftci netted seventeen goals in his first season for the club last term.
