Striker comes back fighting

Striker comes back fighting

Striker Brian Graham has vowed not to become the forgotten man at Dundee United.

The 25-year-old is up against the challenge of Nadir Ciftci, Ryan Dow and latest arrival Mario Bilate at Tannadice.

However, Graham has enjoyed an excellent tour of Holland with three goals in as many games despite twice coming off the bench.

"It's pleasing for me to get amongst the goals, I'm a striker and that's what I'm judged on," he told the Dundee Courier. "My aim was always to come to Holland and score a few and I've done that. I am honest enough to know I didn't really play that much [last season].

"I spoke to the manager at the end of last season and I told him I would make sure I came back after the close season and hit the ground running," Graham added. "We had a heart to heart about things and he promised me that if I came back fit then I would get my chance and that's what's happened."
