Boss blasts defending

Boss blasts defending

Manager Jackie McNamara blasted the defending of his Dundee United side following their heavy 6-1 loss at Celtic.

The reigning champions scored three times in each half to shatter the unbeaten record of their visitors, who replied with a solitary effort from midfielder John Rankin.

"It just shows you if you don't defend properly at set pieces, Celtic will punish you," McNamara told BBC Scotland. "They've scored four from set pieces, they've not had to work hard.

"We've not made them work for it, which is disappointing for me," he added. "It's not been like us so far, we've looked solid enough. It's something we'll need to look at on Monday."
