Tangerines target response

Tangerines target response

Following their first defeat of the season last week, Dundee United are in action against bottom-of-the-table Ross County at Tannadice.

Midfielder Stuart Armstrong is ruled out with ankle trouble but Ryan Dow and Jaroslaw Fojut have both shaken-off knocks.

Meanwhile, defensive trio Sean Dillon, Mark Wilson and John Souttar still watch from the sidelines.

"Everybody was just really disappointed with how things went last weekend, for obvious reasons," assistant manager Simon Donnelly told BBC Scotland . "But it's good we've got this game where we can look to make up for that and hopefully the players are ready to bounce back.

"Looking at things, you would be happy with the start we've made with six points out of nine," he added. "We want to build on what's been a decent start and the best way to do that is by returning to winning ways this weekend, although we know it won't be easy."

Defender Steven Saunders misses out for the visitors with an ankle injury.

But Simon Murray equalised with fourteen minutes remaining, and with extra-time appearing increasingly probable, left-back Dixon headed a dramatic second.

The Tangerines now play either Inverness Caledonian Thistle or Hamilton Academical
