Wilkie set for Livingston switch

Dundee United defender Lee Wilkie is set to join Livingston on loan for a month in an attempt to return to match fitness, accoridng to reports.

Since taking over at Tannadice, Arabs boss Craig Brewster has made it clear that he wants to sent Wilkie out on loan in an attempt to get him ready for SPL action. The Scotland international is making his third attempt make his comeback from severe cruciate ligament problems.

East Fife were mentioned as a possible destination for the 26-year-old but their boss Dave Baikie said that he would not want to disrupt his squad for the sake of having Wilkie's services for just a few games.

Now the Scotsman have reported that Wilkie will move to First Division Livingston next week, after he recovers from a twisted ankle. Livi made a good start to the season after being relegated from the SPL but have now slipped to fifth after a series of poor results.

Wilkie signed for the Terrors after leaving Dundee in the summer. His only appearance for the club so far was against Falkirk - a match the Bairns won 5-1 to put the final nail in Craig Brewster's managerial coffin.

Seems a good move. Levein must rate him as I'm sure he has tried to sign him for other clubs in the past. He'll be back...
Arabian John
hopefully he will get match fit and sharp...the new boss must have him in mind to arrange this and give him a chance...
