Dundee United face Pars test

Dundee United boss Craig Levein has is worried that the presence of new Pars boss Stephen Kenny will make Saturday's (Nov 18) trip to Dunfermline even harder than it may have been.

Levein himself knows just what different a new manager can make to a club in a rut. Before he took over at Tannadice two games ago, the Terrors were bottom of the SPL and looked down and out. Now, two wins and six-points later, the side are five-points clear of Dunfermline.

The match will be Levein's first away match - and the first match in Scotland for Stephen Kenny, who decided to leave Eircom-side Derry City to fill the vacancy at East End Park.

Ahead of the match, Levein said: 'I don't know if he (Kenny) will be in charge of the team or not, but even his very presence at the game should make a difference for Dunfermline.

'There is no doubt the new manager will give them a lift. It was always going to be a difficult one for us. Not so long ago, we were propping up the league, but now teams are out to catch us.'
