Craig Levein continues to deny that he`s set any targets for Dundee United this season, and is trying not to let his players get carried away with the hype.
With 9 out of 12 points since taking over, Levein has lead United from bottom of the SPL to 9th place and is hopeful that his new side can continue progressing up the league table.
However, with the media and supporters sometimes getting carried away with the results so far, Levein has told his players they need to keep their feet on the ground and not get too carried away themselves.
Goalkeeper Derek Stillie agrees with Levein, he told the Courier 'It`s been a very good month since he came in and, even in the one game we lost at Dunfermline, I felt we probably played our best football and were a bit unfortunate to go down to a couple of bad goals.'
'How we should be regarding the three wins we`ve had is as a platform on which we can build. It`s no more than that and we should not get carried away.'
Speaking last month, Shuggy Falconer, Chairman of the Dundee United Supporters Federation made it clear that most supporters aren`t looking for Levein to work miracles over the coming months.
'All we want is for Craig to keep us in the SPL this season. Anything else would be a bonus,' he said.
'We are not hoping for anything ridiculous, even a place in the top six would be respectable, but we must stay up this season.'
