Since joining Dundee United at the start of November, Craig Levein has had a dramatic impact at the Tannadice club and has been named SPL Manager-Of-The-Month for November.
Levein`s new side won 3 out of 4 matches in November - beating Rangers, Kilmarnock and St Mirren in consecutive home matches - and taking 9 out of 12 points.
He has lead Dundee United from bottom of the SPL to 9th, but the former Hearts & Leicester manager is determined that United will continue to progress up the league table and away from the relegation dogfight.
The 42-year-old said 'I have seen improvements from the defenders, but there is more to come because I don't think any of them have been beyond reproach.'
If United beat Hibernian this afternoon, the club will leapfrog Falkirk & Inverness Caley Thistle into 7th place in the league, potentially just a single point behind 6th placed Kilmarnock.
In his weekly column for the Daily Record earlier this week, Levein was confident that he can continue to bring about improvements at the club over the next few months.
He said "We've managed to win 3 of our last 4 games and, ironically, the best football we've played came four an hour in the game we lost to Dunfermline at East End Park."
"Mix the teams up any way you like and one could finish 6th or 12th, but I've got to praise the United players for the efforts they have given me in recent weeks."
"I'm confident that with the same levels of effort and endeavor, in the weeks to come, that we`ll continue to climb up the table."
