Pressley's Future Might Lie Abroad

Steven Pressley has held meetings with representatives of several Scottish & English clubs over the last few days, but still hasn't made up his mind on where his future lies.

Dundee United, Celtic, Dunfermline & Rangers are some of the Scottish sides linked with a move for the former Hearts captain, but Rangers Chairman David Murray recently admitted his club have no interest in signing Elvis.

Dunfermline have also admitted that limited funds mean they cant afford to sign Pressley, whilst Craig Levein has said that Dundee United would also struggle financially to put together a package to bring the 33-year-old to Tannadice.

Celtic are probably the only Scottish side that have a real chance of signing Pressley, but according to his agent, Pressley`s future might even lie outside the UK.

"We have had notes of interest from a number of clubs. We are just ascertaining what clubs are interested in his services - and once we know that he can make a decision," said agent Blair Morgan.

"Steven has not made a decision on whether he wants to stay in Scotland, go to England or move abroad. We are finding out what the interest is before making a decision."

Several English sides are also in the hunt, with former Hearts manager George Burley desperate to take the Scottish International to Southampton, while Derby have also spoken to the player about signing up at Pride Park.

Despite Steven Pressley wanting to sort things out soon and promising to make a final decision within the next few days - he's had another big distraction to take his mind off things in the last 24hours.

Blair Morgan continued, "Steven's wife had a baby girl this morning, so family matters have taken over."

Congratulations Elvis - as if this week wasn`t memorable enough!!!

It'll be a big loss to Scottish football if he moves abroad, or even just down south.
