Utd Have No Chance Of Signing Elvis

Dundee United have absolutely no chance of signing Steven Pressley, according to the BBC.

BBC Sport have claimed that Celtic are the only Scottish side still in with a chance of signing the former Hearts captain, with a further 5 English Premiership and Championship clubs interested as well.

Rangers and Dundee United were both linked with the defender, but Rangers initially denied any interest, whilst United would struggle to afford the players 5k-a-week wages.

The 33-year-old was planning on making a quick decision on his future, but family matters have taken priority after his wife gave birth to a baby girl last week.

Craig Levein, who was Pressley's manager for several years at Hearts, had spoken to the Scottish International to try to talk him into a move to Tannadice, but it was more wishful thinking than anything - since the player is likely to want to make a big money move before the end of his playing career.

Pressley`s agent, Blair Morgan, said last week, "We have had notes of interest from a number of clubs. We are just ascertaining what clubs are interested in his services - and once we know that he can make a decision."

"Steven has not made a decision on whether he wants to stay in Scotland, go to England or move abroad. We are finding out what the interest is before making a decision."

Ive changed my mind about Steven Pressley. Id rather he moved to England than play against us again. Just seen a replay of his dive in the 1-1 game, which gave them the penalty to steal a point, what a cheat he is!

he has always been a player who uses his body strength to bully the opposition, a bit like hartson
