New Zealand International To Sign?

New Zealand International To Sign?

Dundee United have been linked with a move for 31-year-old New Zealand international Che Bunce.

The former Sheffield United defender is reported to have arrived in Scotland to train with Dundee United, giving Craig Levein the chance to assess the player before he offers him a short-term deal at Tannadice.

Currently the captain of New Zealand Knights FC, Bunce has played all over europe - including spells with Breidablik (Iceland), Drogheda United (Ireland) and Randers FC (Denmark).

Levein has been searching for an experienced defender to help solve Dundee United's defensive crisis, until Caley Thistle captain Darren Dods arrives in the summer.

Bunce - who has played International football at full & under-23 levels - joined New Zealand Knights FC in April 2006 on a short-term contract until the end of their season.
