Dundee United v Greenock Morton

Dundee United v Greenock Morton

Dundee United are taking a valuable 2-1 advantage into their play-off quarter-final second-leg against Greenock Morton at Tannadice this evening (kick-off 7.45pm).

Second-half efforts from Simon Murray and Blair Spittal dramatically turned the tie on its head after Thomas O'Ware had scored early for the hosts in the opening meeting earlier this week.

The Tangerines have concerns over teenage left-back Jamie Robson for the return because of a muscle injury in his back. Paul Dixon would be his natural replacement.

Otherwise, Lewis Toshney is still ruled out with a dislocated shoulder, while midfielder Scott Fraser continues to make good progress following his foot injury.

"There is no way we are thinking that's us through," first-leg goalscorer Spittal told the Dundee Evening Telegraph. "We've got a great home record but, the minute we start thinking the tie is over, that's when we let Morton back in.

"We can't become complacent. Morton will come out and have a go at us and we have to be aware of that and be ready for it," he warned. "If we are and we're on it, that can play into our hands. We can use the space they need to attack us and get at them."
