Versatile midfielder extends deal

Versatile midfielder extends deal

Midfielder Stewart Murdoch has extended his deal at Dundee United for another couple of seasons.

The 27-year-old made thirty appearances and scored once since arriving from Ross County last summer, even regularly featuring at right-back during the second-half of the campaign.

"When I brought Stewart to the Club last season, I described him as the right type and someone who is strong in the tackle," manager Ray McKinnon told United's official website. "He has also shown his adaptability with his move to right-back, and I am delighted to have him signed up again.

"This season it will be important that every member of the squad can make an impact every time I call on them and I know with Stewart that is the case."
