Striker ready for repeat

Dundee United newcomer James Keatings brings plenty of promotion know-how with him to Tannadice.

The 25-year-old marksman has already previously helped Hamilton Academical, Hearts and Hibernian into the top-flight and remains very hopeful of achieving it a fourth time.

"I know what it takes to get teams promoted from the Championship," Keatings told the Dundee Evening Telegraph. "I've been there and done it. You need to keep your standards high in every game and be focused all the time.

"It's not easy to win promotion but I am ambitious and so are United," he added. "This is a good move for me, I'm looking forward to the season ahead and the United squad are a good bunch of boys. We have a real chance of challenging for the league title."
