Never again says defender

Never again says defender

Dundee United defender William Edjenguele admits he never again wants to experience the pain of play-off defeat.

The Tangerines narrowly lost out in their promotion showdown with Hamilton Academical in May, but are naturally ready to go again for the opening league fixture at relegated Inverness Caledonian Thistle this afternoon.

"The feeling I felt at the end of last season at Hamilton, I do not want to go through that again," Edjenguele told the Dundee Evening Telegraph. "It was a long summer after that .

"I hate going backwards, I do not like talking about the past, but it was so close," he added. "If we had lost by a much bigger margin, you would say we were not ready to go up but it was only one goal in a very tight game and that showed how close we were."
