Reaction good says striker

Dundee United striker Scott McDonald says the reaction to last week's setback has been really good.

His colleagues suffered a first league reversal of the campaign following a very disappointing performance at St Mirren, where the visitors were eventually on the wrong end of a 3-0 scoreline.

"A defeat here is a much bigger thing but you have to stick together," McDonald told the Dundee Evening Telegraph. "You have to focus on that and not get too worried about things happening outside.

"What I've liked about this week is people are hurting and they are disappointed," he added. "There is nothing worse than seeing smiling faces after a defeat but there haven't been any here and we are working hard."
