We must maintain form says goalscorer

We must maintain form says goalscorer

Midfielder Fraser Fyvie insists Dundee United must continue to replicate the kind of form that witnessed them accounting for leaders Dunfermline Athletic at the weekend.

The former Aberdeen and Hibernian playmaker struck twice, with striker Scott McDonald similarly on the mark during their impressive 3-1 triumph at East End Park.

"That has to be the standard that we play to now," Fyvie told the Dundee Courier. "Hopefully, we have put down a marker because Dunfermline are a top side.

"We can`t go below that line now - it`s what the manager expects of us," he added. "This win gives us that confidence that we can come up with goals. Also, after they nicked a goal back I thought that we were solid, which was good to see."
