United could turn to former player
Former Ross County boss Jim McIntyre is emerging as a leading candidate to replace Ray McKinnon at Dundee United.
Both John Hughes and ex-Tannadice chief Peter Houston are also in the frame, according to the Daily Record.
McIntyre is a former United striker who lost his job in Dingwall last month. He'd previously been in charge at Queen of the South and Dunfermline Athletic.
Meanwhile, Hughes was a one-time target of the Taysiders when at Inverness Caledonian Thistle in 2015 and before Mixu Paatelainen's appointment.
