We've power to add says skipper

Dundee United skipper Tam Scobbie reckons the club have enough firepower in place to stay at the top of the table despite missing recent chances.

The Tangerines currently lead the rest following latest victories against Dunfermline Athletic and Greenock Morton moving them back to the summit and fully justifying their pre-season favourites tag.

"When you look at our full squad we've got some fantastic attacking talent, fantastic footballers," Scobbie told the Dundee Evening Telegraph. "Scotty Fraser is on a different level, Fraser Fyvie, Billy King, Paul McMullan, Scotty McDonald and Stants (Sam Stanton) as well.

"Our wing-backs can get up, too. Vinny (Mark Durnan) and I are there to sweep up with one of the midfielders," he added. "That's our job and that's what we've been doing of late. We want to stay top going into the new year, of course."
