Striker signs for United

Dundee United have confirmed the signing of Danish striker Emil Sigvardsen Lyng until the end of the season.

The 28-year-old arrives from Icelandic outfit KnattspyrnufÊlag Akureyra (KA) after registering nine goals in twenty appearances.

Lyng, who is 6'3", has previously represented his country at both Under-20 and Under-21 levels.

He becomes United's third recent newcomer following the earlier loan acquisitions of Craig Slater [Colchester United] and Brandon Mason [Watford].

Meanwhile, former Motherwell, Aberdeen and Ross County centre-back Paul Quinn has also extended his stay until the summer.
