Dundee Clubs Fight Over Fixtures

Dundee Clubs Fight Over Fixtures

Dundee United and Dundee are set to square up again this season, but for the 3rd time this season it will be over a scheduling clash.

Both clubs were drawn to play at home in the 3rd round of the Scottish Cup, with Dundee United's match against St Mirren moved to the Sunday because Dundee versus Queen of the South was drawn out first.

Dundee United were given permission to have their New Year's day SPL match against Fakirk moved back 24 hours, but Dundee were due to play Livingston in the 1st division on the same day - so the fixture had to be moved back.

Now, United have been scheduled to play league leaders Celtic on Saturday 31st March, with the game live on Setanta with a 12:30pm kickoff.

However, Dundee are meant to be playing Airdrie United at Dens at 3pm on the same day - so its likely that one of those matches will have to be put back to the Sunday afternoon instead.
