Terrors sign former striker

Dundee United have re-signed striker Thomas Mikkelsen on loan until the end of the season.

The 28-year-old Dane netted eight goals in 26 appearances while on loan to the Taysiders last season - most notably grabbing the winner against St Mirren in the Scottish Challenge Cup final in March.

Since then the bustling Mikkelsen has struck four times in thirteen games for parent club Ross County.

"We need a striker who shows presence, has speed and power and is willing to work," manager Csaba Laszlo told United's official website. "There were other options but when you look at Thomas against those other options, this deal is the best for Dundee United."
