Celtic Can Still Beat AC Milan

Dundee United manager Craig Levein is backing Celtic to progress to get through to the quarter-finals of the European Cup, when they travel to Italy next month for the 2nd leg of their match against AC Milan.

Celtic play the Italian giants in the San Siro on the 7th of March, after holding AC Milan to a 0-0 goalless draw at Parkhead this week.

Although, Levein admits it will be still be a very difficult task for Gordon Strachan's side, because AC Milan are a well-organised team.

"I remember playing against Italian opposition for Hearts and its never easy," admitted Levein this week.

"Their teams are always well measured, very strong and especially good on the counter-attack"

"In saying that, I think Celtic have a reasonably good fighting chance in the San Siro. No disrespect to Milan, but I don't feel they're in the same class as a few years ago when they had the likes of Marco van Basten to call upon."

"Celtic play a style of football now that's well suited to Europe, so hopefully that will work in their favour."
