Craig Levein is hopeful that Polish goalkeeper Lukasz Zaluska will be the first of several signings during the summer.
24-year-old Zaluska signed a 2-year deal this week, which will see him join Caley Thistle defender Darren Dods and Cardiff winger Willo Flood on the arrivals sheet.
Dods signed a pre-contractual agreement with Dundee United earlier in the season, while 22-year-old Flood is expected to complete his move to Tannadice next week.
The Dublin born midfielder and Republic or Ireland International, who has spent time with Coventry City, Rochdale and Manchester City, is expected to agree on a 1-year loan deal with United.
After falling out of favour with Cardiff City manager Dave Jones, Flood struggled to get any competitive football under his belt this season, with just 5 league starts (20 appearances as a sub) for the English Championship club.
Meanwhile, its expected that new signing Zaluska will make his Tannadice debut against Spanish giants Barcelona in the pre-season friendly scheduled for the 26th of July.
"the Barcelona match is a very exciting prospect for me,' admitted Zaluska.
Dundee United is a club which is well known in Europe and one with a great tradition and I feel I can help United to get back challenging in the top half of the league in Scotland but also, perhaps, again in Europe.'
