Defender David McCracken has signed for English 2nd division side Wycombe Wanderers, after being released by Dundee United at the end of the season.
Dundee United manager Craig Levein announced in January that he would not be renewing McCracken`s contract this summer, after deciding the 25-year-old wasn`t showing enough of a winning mentality.
Former Celtic midfielder and Livingston manager Paul Lambert has been searching for bargains in the Scottish transfer market, making David McCracken his 4th signing of the summer so far.
"I've always been at Dundee United but now it's a new step in my career, a new challenge," admitted McCraken after signing for Wycombe this week.
"Moving to England is a big step, and certainly something I wanted to try out."
"When Paul Lambert showed an interest in me, I saw the club and its stature and it made my mind up. I had a few offers from Scotland and a few from around here but my mind was made up."
"Paul Lambert was a massive factor (in me coming here). I played against him when he was at Celtic, and he's sold the club to me."
"There was only one decision to make. He's got big ambitions and I want to be part of that."
