Dundee United and Dundee are heading for another fixture clash, after both sides were drawn at home in the 2nd round of the CIS League Cup.
Dundee were drawn out of the hat first, which means they will probably get first choice over whether to host Livingston on Tuesday 28th or Wednesday 29th of August.
Meanwhile, Dundee United have been awarded with a home tie against 2nd division Ross County at Tannadice.
It will be the 3rd time that Dundee United and Ross County have played each other - with the previous 2 meetings also occurring in the League Cup competition.
However, Dundee United will be hoping to avoid a repeat of the 1998/99 meeting, when 2 goals from Derek Adams in extra time, gave the Dingwall side a shock 2-0 home win.
Although, a United victory at Tannadice during the 1999/00 campaign, means that honours are even - after goals from Joaquim Ferraz and a Steven Thompson double results in a 3-1 score line.
The result doesn`t really matter in a cup match, because the objective is just to get through to the next round.
Craig Levein will be expecting Dundee United to get through to the 3rd round, but its unlikely Ross County will make it easy…
