After all the corruption uncovered in Italian football, isn't it about time Dundee United asked the SPL to investigate Scottish referees?
For the 2nd week in-a-row, Dundee United had a player unfairly dismissed, as referee Brian Winter handed the match to Kilmarnock on a platter.
Craig Levein's side were 1-0 up, after a Noel Hunt goal early in the 2nd half, but referee Winter sent defender Christian Kalvenes off and 10-man United lost 2 late goals to lose 2-1.
Christian Kalvenes clearly got the ball, in an great 77th minute challenge on Steven Naismith, but unbelievably received a straight red card.
The referee`s assistant should have actually assisted referee Brian Winter, but instead of getting involved, he did nothing and Kalvenes was forced to leave the field of play.
Last week, debutant Willio Flood received a red-card for "diving" after he lost his footing, while taking the ball past Aberdeen's Jackie McNamara.
Fortunately, Dundee United were able to absorb the pressure from Aberdeen and even managed to grab a later winner, when David Robertson scored in the 90th minute.
However, United were in complete control of the match against Kilmarnock......until Kalvenes was sent-off and Killie were able to capitalize in the confusion that followed.
2 minutes after being reduced the 10-men, William Gibson`s shot was deflected past Grzegorz Szamotulski and Killie then sealed an underserved 2-1 win with an 87th minute Colin Nish goal.
