Another Weekend, Another Red Card!!!

Another weekend, another red card for Dundee United, as indiscipline within the ranks continues against Kilmarnock at Tannadice.

A moment of madness from Jordon Robertson resulted in Craig Levein`s side being reduced to 10men late in the game, after the on-loan Sheffield United striker attempted to headbutt Killie keeper Alan Combe.

Fortunately, 2 goals from Noel Hunt and Prince Bauben secured a 2-0 win over Killie, but the red card soured, what would have been, another perfect home performance.

United captain Barry Robson and influential defender Lee Wilkie were already suspended from this match, after being given their matching orders against Aberdeen last weekend.

Robson saw a straight for a two footed challenge on Christopher Maguire last weekend, while Wilkie received a 2nd yellow card for repeat offending, after referee Kenny Clark forgot he`d already been booked.

United can now boast the worst disciplinary record in Scotland, with an embarrassing 8 red cards already this season.

For most Dundee United supporters it`s a case when, not if, the 1st red card is going to be shown, with hot-head captain Barry Robson the bookies favourite most weekends to receive his matching orders.

Even Dundee United`s new signing Daniel Swanson is keeping the record going, by getting sent off for Berwick in the 89th minute of a 2-1 league defeat by Peterhead.

Craig Levein might have received the SPL Manager-Of-The-Month award for United`s performances in October, but unless he starts sorting out the indiscipline in his side, he might not have enough players left to even put out a team during the whole of November.

The full list of red cards already this season is.....

Aberdeen(h) - Willo Flood (42mins)
Kilmarnock(a) - Christian Kalvenes (77mins)
Kilmarnock(h) Reserves - Willo Flood (89mins)
Falkirk(h) - Morgaro Gomis (70mins)
Hearts(a) - Grzegorz Szamotulski (90mins)
Aberdeen(a) - Barry Robson (78mins), Lee Wilkie (89mins)
Kilmarnock(h) - Jordon Robertson (85mins)
