Good News On The Injury Front
Finally, there was some good news for Dundee United on the injury front as Craig Conway returned to light training.
The 22-year-old midfielder hasn`t played a competitive 1st team match since the 0-0 draw with Hibernian at Tannadice on the 18th of August, after breaking a bone in his foot.
Both Lukasz Zaluska and Conway suffered similar injuries, with the former Ayr United midfielder undergoing 2 separate operations to repair the broken metatarsal.
Polish goalkeeper Zaluska still hasn`t made a 1st team appearance for United, since breaking his foot during the pre-season campaign and continues to suffer setbacks in his attempts to return to match fitness.
However, Conway currently looks on course for a Christmas comeback and might even play a part in the Boxing day match against Celtic at Tannadice.
"Craig is back running and sees the specialist on December 6 when the hope is he`ll get the all-clear to start full training," manager Craig Levein admitted to the Courier.
"If things go to plan he should return in time for the busy festive programme, which would be great as you want everybody available for that period."
