Happy New Year......

Happy New Year......

Happy New Year to Arabs everywhere.

Hopefully 2008 will start better than 2007, with an inspiring win over struggling Hearts at Tannadice on the 2nd.

With Craig Levein at the helm, it should be a good year - provided Chairman Eddie Thompson can convince the talented manager to remain at Tannadice and not accept the Scotland job (if offered to him).

Player of the year has to be captain Barry Robson, after inspiring the club to one of the best starts to the SPL in years.

Although, despite a good start to the 2007/08 season, lets hope that there are far fewer red cards for Dundee United players in 2008!!!

Raith Rovers 2 Dundee United 1

Dundee United's promotion hopes received another major setback with a 2-1 defeat to Raith Rovers at Stark's Park.

Goals either side of the break from Craig Barr and Ryan Hardie gave the visitors too much to do despite Simon Murray's late reply.

Defensive uncertainty already witnessed Hardie being denied by Cammy Bell before Barr opened the scoring when heading in Chris Johnston's free-kick as the interval approached.

That was improved upon when Hardie drove a low second earl
