United Lose Another Attacking Option
Dundee United manager Craig Levein has already admitted he wants to sign another striker before the January transfer window closes.
However, he might have to speed up his efforts to bring in a new face, after losing Jordon Robertson to Sheffield United last week.
19-year-old Robertson joined Dundee United on loan at the start of the season, but the Bramall Lane club have decided to terminate his loan deal early and recalled him back to Sheffield.
Robertson failed to make a big impression on the SPL during his short stay, scoring just 4 times in 18 matches.
Unfortunately, it was his usually his temper which got him noticed - mainly by the Scottish referee`s - and it resulted in a straight red card for attempting to head-butt Kilmarnock goalkeeper Alan Combe during a 2-0 win at Tannadice last November.
"He's done well for us and I'd like to thank him for his efforts," Levein admitted to the BBC.
"I'm already looking for a striker so it has taken on even more importance now but we'll just get on with it."
"He's a good lad and I wish him all the best, hopefully he'll be able to break into their team."
Striker Jon Daly still remains out long-term through injury, but luckily Noel Hunt has been a goal machine for United in recent months, with 14 goals already this season.
