What is the different between £1.5million and £850,000?
If anybody knows, could they please tell Nottingham Forest, because the English League 1 club seem to think that £850,000 will be enough to convince Dundee United to give up club captain Barry Robson.
Earlier in the month, Chairman Eddie Thompson publicly announced that Dundee United would want at least £1.5million for the influential 29-year-old midfielder.
Burnley have already had a £700,000 big rejected, but Forest are rumoured to be planning another pathetic bid for the former Inverness Caley Thistle and Rangers Youth player.
"A £1million offer wouldn't satisfy me. That wouldn't be enough. We've had offers for Barry but we've turned them down and I'm expecting more bids from south of the border on Monday morning," admitted Chairman Thompson to the Sunday Times.
If you believe everything you read in the newspapers, then Robson is going to be a Celtic player by the end of the week, in a deal around £1million - but he has a few options south of the border to consider as well.
It was hoped that Robson would make his final appearance for Dundee United in the League Cup Semi-Final against Aberdeen on Tuesday night, but nothing is certain.
"I want him to play in the semi-final but it might be taken out of my hands. We`ll have to wait and see," manager Levein told the Dundee Courier.
After scoring his 12th goal of the season against Kilmarnock at Rugby Park, in a much deserved 2-1 victory, Robson told the waiting media - "I have no idea if I have played my last game for United."
"I don't know what's happening, I'm just here to talk about the game, but as it stands I am a Dundee United player."
"I've scored 12 goals last season and 12 already this season so hopefully I will get more."
"I'm playing okay but I wouldn't say I was at the top of my game."
"I think the team has been outstanding and I have been chipping in with some important goals."
