Dundee United suffered a real European hangover as they crashed to a simply dreadful 4-0 home defeat to Inverness Caledonian Thistle at Tannadice.
Adam Rooney scored twice for the visitors, including one from the penalty spot, while Kevin McCann and Russell Duncan were also on target.
Home manager Peter Houston named an unchanged starting eleven from the side that had gone down to a single-goal defeat to AEK Athens on Thursday evening.
Caley's former Arab loanee Eric Odhiambo had an early low drive collected by Dusan Pernis in the home goal before Rooney drilled inches wide of an upright as the visitors started well.
However, Jon Daly was only inches away from converting a Craig Conway corner at the opposite end before Rooney turned Garry Kenneth and fired at Pernis in reply.
But Pernis was given absolutely no chance when a spectacular McCann 30-yard effort on 34 minutes earned the visitors the lead.
Dublin-born striker Rooney was certainly proving a menace to the home defence and soon allowed Jonny Hayes to shoot wide early in the second period.
And it was Rooney himself adding a second goal from the edge of the area after being set-up by Odhiambo six minutes after the break.
Two minutes later Duncan launched an audacious 25-yard first-time attempt over Pernis to make it 3-0 for the visitors.
Caley then added a fourth with only eight minutes remaining after Rooney converted from the spot after being brought down inside the area by Kenneth.
It had proved a miserable afternoon throughout for the home side and was maintained as Prince Buaben struck a late volley against an upright.
