Terrors heading in right direction

Dundee United continue to move up after a 1-0 home victory over Hearts courtesy of a tremendous Scott Robertson header.

Robertson grabbed the only goal of the contest midway through the opening half to leave the hosts seventh in the table and now only three points short of fourth place.

David Templeton shot wide early on for the visitors before Jon Daly curled in an inviting cross for Robertson to send a superb diving header past Marion Kello.

Rudi Skacel soon had the ball in the opposite net but was ruled offside after a fine run by Templeton while the Czech also saw an effort parried by Dusan Pernis.

Hearts were first to show after the break with Skacel despatching a free-kick over before Daly had a goal disallowed for offside after Kello had blocked from Gary Mackay-Steven.

The visitors were still having plenty of possession though and Pernis then turned over from Ryan McGowan before further late pressure also failed to bring them reward.
