Tangerines rally in Dingwall

Dundee United came from behind to complete a 2-1 victory against Ross County in Dingwall.

The visitors fell behind when Iain Vigurs headed in Richard Brittain's early second-half cross. But Johnny Russell pounced upon a goalkeeping error to equalise three minutes later before helping set-up Stuart Armstrong for the winner just after the hour.

Their victory was sufficient to lift them up to seventh in the table and only five points behind the current leaders.

Home keeper Michael Fraser was required to keep out Jon Daly and Russell early on while opposite number Radoslaw Cierzniak blocked from both Rocco Quinn and Sam Morrow. Stuart Kettlewell also went close for the hosts until Sean Dillon cleared off the line.

But County still forged ahead three minutes into the second-half when Vigurs headed in Brittain's cross.

That advantage wasn't to last for long, however, as Russell slotted in an equaliser from around twenty-yards after keeper Fraser had needlessly advanced from his area.

Twelve minutes later Daly headed Russell's delivery across goal and Armstrong simply tapped in the winner at the far post.

The Tangerines continued to appear dangerous on the break and substitute Rudi Skacel twice threatened them further reward.
