Dundee United had to settle for a share of the spoils following a 1-1 draw with Ross County at Tannadice.
Gary Mackay-Steven earned them the lead seven minutes into the second half but skipper Richard Brittain struck an equaliser from outside the area half-an-hour later.
Gavin Gunning headed a Barry Douglas free-kick into the side-netting during the opening moments while Rocco Quinn was wide from distance in reply.
However, opportunities continued to be in short supply until Keith Watson and Stuart Armstrong combined well for Mackay-Steven to drift an effort wide from the edge of the area just beyond the half-hour.
The second-half began more promisingly and United swiftly surged ahead when Mackay-Steven curled into the top corner following nice work between Johnny Russell and Jon Daly.
But it took an extended save from Radoslaw Cierzniak to deny new signing Ivan Sproule and maintain that lead, until Brittain cracked in a 25-yard equaliser with eight minutes remaining.
