Tangerines draw on reserves

Substitute Farid El Alagui scored an equaliser as Dundee United came from behind to earn themselves a point at Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

The Tangerines fell into early arrears as Ryan Christie headed in Marley Watkins' seventh-minute cross.

But El Alagui levelled matters with nineteen minutes remaining after home goalkeeper Dean Brill had earlier kept his side in front.

Caley wasted little time in making an impression with Watkins delivering a looping ball and Christie heading beyond Radoslaw Cierniak for the opening goal.

Billy McKay was then crowded out when threatening to add another before Brill blocked from Nadir Ciftci at the other end. He soon followed that up by thwarting Ryan Dow while substitute Brian Graham spurned a couple of opportunities following the break.

Fellow replacement El Alagui did though level during a scramble from Paul Paton 71st minute ball into the area to earn the visitors reward.
